Giving blood while fasting does not invalidate the fast. Because bleeding from the body is not a reason to break the fast. Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) blew his trumpet while fasting. So blood can be given if needed while fasting. However, if a person fears that he will become so weak because of donating blood that he will not be able to complete the fast. Then it would be makrooh to give blood for him.
