Question
I go to one of the mosques to pray. Two rak'ats of prayer have already passed. I then saw Imam Sahib with a beard less than a handful, wearing a lungi and a shirt. I did not pray behind him. Now my question is- (1) Is it right to pray behind this Imam or not? (2) Again, it is often seen that the time for prayers is passing, so I hurried to the mosque to hold the congregation. I went and saw incompetent people leading the prayers. What to do then? Shall I pray behind this Imam? Is it more important to pray in congregation? Or will I leave the Jamaat and fall alone? 3895395145

It is obligatory to keep a beard in the eyes of the Shari'ah. Those who have long beards are obliged to keep a handful of beards on all three sides of their beards. If a person cuts his beard and keeps it less than a fist, then that person will be considered a transgressor. And the imamate of a transgressor is Tahrimi in Makrooh. Praying behind him is also makrooh tahrimi. If a person accidentally prays behind such an Imam, then the prayer will be performed. ঐ The prayer does not have to be repeated. In such a case, it is obligatory to join the Jama'at behind such an Imam without praying alone. 4614591299
