Special fasting and prayers of the new moon 7427217294

There is no mention of special prayers or fasting in the Qur'an-Hadith during the months in question. However, since the month of Zilqad is one of the four sacred months in Ashura, it is mustahab to observe naafil fast in this month. Because, it is mentioned in the hadith that Nafl fast should be observed in Ashur and Hurum. In a long hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) looked at one of the Companions and said, (pointing with his fingers) You will fast for three days in the month of Haram. Then do not fast for three days. Then he will fast for three days again. Then do not keep three days. (Thus ending) 8941997555
