(A) It is permissible to do thawab risani in the manner mentioned or in any way in accordance with the Shariah. However, it is not permissible to arrange any food in it. Because, food-drink, distribution of tabarak etc. are included in the fee. Proof of this is that if sweets or something else is not distributed after such a gathering, many will not participate in such a ceremony. And if one wants to feed with one's own wealth for the sake of reward, then feed the poor. But they will not recite Khatam or Surah and Kalam by them. (B) It is najaiz and haraam to take money or to eat food by reciting Kareem in the Qur'an for the purpose of rewarding the soul of the deceased or by making any other kind of du'a. So Imam, Muazzin will not be able to accept any exchange. It will not be of any benefit to the dead person if he is rewarded in Isa by reciting Khatam in exchange for money etc. For, if one recites by accepting money or any kind of exchange, the reciter does not get any reward. Then what will he reach the dead person. Therefore, in order to reach thawab in the soul of the deceased, his relatives or kinsmen will pay thawab through the Qur'an, charity etc. at the end. And if it is to be recited, it will be recited by a person with whom there is sincerity from the past. So that they agree to recite the Qur'an without any remuneration. (C) It is not necessary for anyone to participate in the said ceremony or dua mahfil. Rather it is a matter of everyone's will. But as a neighbor, they must pray for that person. But if anyone has left to survive such a sweet-feeding practice, he has done just that. (D) If one knows that it is the Tabarak of the conventional Milad, then it will not be permissible for him to eat it. Because, the conventional Qiyam and Milad are acts of innovation and sin. And accepting their Tabarak means helping them in Milad and Qiyam. So this is also an act of innovation and sin. The light of the heart goes out because of sin. That is completely correct. And even if it is played unknowingly, it will have some effect. However, it is baseless to say that 70-80 years of worship is wasted by playing the traditional Milad and Qiyam Tabarak. 6114366693
