Question
Sheikh Nurul Islam Farooqi in reply to a question on the occasion of Satt's search said that prayers and fasting do not take place when one reaches Fanafilla. Is he talking wrong here? Is it hypocrisy? What does he mean by Fanafillah mad? But how can I see who is crazy? 6292115527

What is meant by Fanafillah is the complete union of the servant with Allah. (Naujubillah!) This is a disbelief. A person who believes in such beliefs does not remain a Muslim. But a person may be madly in love with God. This is not surprising. But that madness is not a document of the law. It is not permissible to work hard to achieve that madness. But it is not only permissible but also good to work hard to get the love of Allah. Tasawwuf's hard work means hard work to get Allah. It has been mentioned in Hadith. When Jibraeel (AS) asked the Prophet (SAW): قَالَ: مَا الإِحْسَانُ؟ He said: أ ْن تعبد الله كأنَكَ تَرَاهُ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَرَاهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَرَاكَ Ihsan ji thing? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Worship Allaah in such a way that you can see Him. If you can't see, then surely he can see you. (Bukhari, Hadith No. 50) This is basically the work of Tasawwuf. Obeying every matter of the Shari'ah with the fear and love of Allah. Worship is not a duty but to be performed with love. Realizing with love. Worship with the attitude that Allah sees everything. To observe every provision of the Shari'ah with pure intention. Its name is Tasawwuf. But the horrible faith-destroying creed called Fanafillah is a blatant blasphemy creed. No act of Shari'ah is abolished for a servant till death. Equal for all. Only three persons are deprived of the provisions of Shariah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The pen of accounting has been taken away from three persons. One is until the sleeping person wakes up, the other is until the insane person recovers. Until the minor becomes an adult. (Sunan Abu Dawood, Hadith No. 4396, Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith No. 2041) Besides, every provision of Shariah must be obeyed by all till death. That is why the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his Companions were fully committed to every provision of the Shari'ah until their death. According to those who are claiming that worship does not take place when they reach Fanafillah, did not the Prophet (peace be upon him) reach this status? So why did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) worship so seriously until his death? Why did you work so hard to pray with the congregation? Sahabaye Keram r could not reach this status? So why did the Companions give so much struggle and sacrifice for the religion till death? The fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his Companions performed Ibadah until his death clearly proves that this is a deceptive claim. If there was a stage where worship would no longer be required, it would have been achieved by the Prophet (peace be upon him). Then the Companions would also hold that position. But in the Holy Qur'an, it has been said that one should compel all to worship till death. No. They were responsible for the observance of the Shari'ah till death, and they carried it seriously till their death. Servant of Allah, He has given me the Book and has made me a prophet. (Surah Maryam-30-31) Where the Prophet is being instructed to worship as long as he is alive, there is no point in having such an opportunity for the ummah. Naujubillah can go to work. However, if someone becomes mentally unbalanced. Then no provision of Shariah is applicable to that person. Which is proved by the hadith narrated earlier. There is no provision for the insane. Therefore, if one reaches such an unbalanced state, then no provision of Shari'ah applies to him. That is true. Fanafillah means that if the person is considered to be insane, then the statement of the above speaker is correct. That is, no provision of Shari'ah applies to him for being insane. But Fanafillah means if it is taken that the servant has merged with Allah (Nawzubillah) then it is a disbelief and shirk belief. May Allah grant us the grace to be free from these disbelieving beliefs. Amen. 3249234564
