Question

In our region, after burying a body in a grave, four tree branches are placed on the grave in four corners and four kuls (ie Surah Kafirun, Surah Ikhlas, Surah Falaq and Nas) are recited. How logical is this in the eyes of the Shariah? 5827712439

After burying the body in the grave, to bury the branches of a date or other tree in the four corners of the grave, to hold the four kuls on this branch is a bid'at and an abominable act in the eyes of Shari'ah. Many have argued from the hadith of Muslim Sharif that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) laid two pieces of palm on two graves and said that as long as these two branches are fresh, his punishment will be lightened. The answer is that it was khas with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Their punishment was lightened because of the intercession of Huzur. As long as the two branches do not stop the torment, that is, until the torment dries up, the torment will stop with the blessings of the supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). If it was permissible for everyone to do so and it was a good deed, then the Companions would have done it. Because they were more interested in good deeds. Nevertheless, none of the disciples did so. So it is important to eliminate it. Moreover, there is no evidence in any saheeh hadeeth that the four clans are recited in four corners. However, it has been proven in the hadith that one will recite Surah Al-Baqarah from the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah towards the head and the last page of Surah Al-Baqarah towards one's feet from the Messenger of Allah to the end of the Surah. 1389159319
