First of all, one thing must be understood. That is, Hazrat Ilyas (RA) is the uncle. And the nephew is Shaykh Zakariya (RA). He was not the uncle who spoke the word but was his uncle. And he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, uncle is father if there is no other father (stepfather), and aunt is mother, if Besides, there is no mother (step mother). (Sahaba Liahmad bin Hanbal in Fazayel, Narration No-1781, الْعَمُّ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَالِدٌ The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, the uncle is the father according to the rules of the Qur’an. (Marasil Abu Dawud, Hadith No-513, Kanjul Ummal, Hadith No-45470) Now we are Shaykh Zakaria. Let's look at the statement of RA. Answer No. 1 Ilyas RA was the uncle of Shaykh Zakariya RA. And the uncle is like the father. And it is stated in the hadith- خَطُ الرَّبَّ فِي سَخَطِ الْوَالِدِ Narrated by Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr RA. He said, The Prophet (PBUH) said, Lord's pleasure lies in the father's pleasure and Lord's displeasure lies in the father's displeasure. , Sahih Ibn Hibban, Hadith No-429, Shuabul Iman, Hadith No-7447) In the said hadith, the Prophet (PBUH) clearly stated that the pleasure of the father is the pleasure of the father and the displeasure of the father is the cause of the displeasure of God. If it is shirk to please him, then the Prophet (pbuh) himself gave instructions for that shirk. The Prophet himself gave a call to that shirk. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) is encouraging that shirk by obeying the orders of one's father or someone close to him while keeping the pleasure of Allah. So are the alleged Ahl al-Hadith shaykhs more aware of Shirk than the Prophet? Or is the Prophet more afraid of polytheism? May Allah protect us from such foolish Shaykhs. Those who are trying to create confusion among the people by terming following the command of the Prophet as shirk. Answer No. 2 The command to respect the elder and love the younger has come from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in several hadiths. It is stated in the hadith - عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ, عَنْ جَدِّهِ, قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ” لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَن لَمْ يَرْحَ مْ صَغِيرَنَا, وَيَعْرِفْ حَقَّ كَبِيرِنَا Hazrat Amr bin Shuaib his father, he narrated from his grandfather, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "That person is not of our party, who is not kind to the little ones, and is ignorant of the rights of the elders." (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith No-6333) There are many such hadiths in which it is commanded to obey elders. Obey the orders of the elders, by listening to them the elders will be happy and satisfied, this is the command of Allah and the Messenger of Allah. By this Allah is pleased. Acting on these hadiths, Shaykh Zakariya (RA) has compiled the book to please his father, Murabbi Ilyas (RA) by protecting his orders. Shirk where? Follow the instructions of so many hadiths. There is no difference between following the instructions of the hadith and calling it shirk and being a ginger dealer and taking news of a ship. So it is understood that Shaykh Zakaria did not make any kind of shirky statement by writing that word in the introduction of his book. Rather, he wrote those words to follow the order of the Prophet (peace be upon him) described in the hadith. Due to ignorance of Quran and Hadith, some Shaykhs have slandered such vile accusations to defame great congregations like Tabligh.
