Question

If a person of the Hanafi school leads the people of another school and follows that school, such as رفع يدين (raising hands) and saying Amin, etc., will it be saheeh for that person to lead? Or pretending to raise his hand without raising his hand, such as shaking the handkerchief with both hands, so that the muqtadis of other sects may understand that رفع يدين did. So will it be permissible to lead in this way or not? And will that work be considered as deception or not? 6747738252

Followers of one madhhab can lead people of other madhhabs. For example, a person from the Hanafi school can be the Imam of the Shafi'is. A person of a similar Shafi'i school may be the Imam of the Hanafis. Imam Sahib will lead the prayers according to his madhhab. There is no need for the Imam to look at the school of muqtadis. Moreover, it is not allowed to do so. However, to do so for the sake of the muqtadis for two or four paise, that is, to shake the handkerchief in prayer, is undoubtedly a deception and a sin. This also harms the prayers. The Imam and the Muqtadi will perform the prayers according to their respective madhhabs. There is no difficulty in this from the point of view of Shariah. Those who abide by this condition will be the Imams. Otherwise, he will not lead by changing his Sahih Madhhab or cheating. It is to be noted that according to one madhhab, if a matter falls under the cause of breaking the ablution, but does not fall under another madhhab, then if any such thing is found from Imam Sahib, then the muqtadis of other madhhabs have to repeat the prayer. 6474684165
