A) It is not advisable to appoint Hafez in that manner. Because, the practice of appointing trustees in this way was not in the golden age of Islam. Moreover, this is an insult to Hafez Qur'an. Thus this democratic rule of appointment of trustees was first invented by the English and introduced everywhere by word of mouth or strategy. And due to the ignorance of the people about religion, they started blindly imitating the English and the British, crossed the boundaries of office and court and started issuing it in mosques and madrasas. The correct method in this regard is to appoint a trustee through the Haqqani ulama or to go to the places where Hafez Alem is formed, listen to their reading and take people from the masters there knowingly. There are many examples of this in the time of the Companions. And in those days no one was appointed in a democratic way from the caliph to the guardian. Instead, trustees were appointed on the advice of wise men. (B) No Imam or Hafiz should participate in such competition. This is an insult to the Qur'an and oneself.
