The 2nd Azan of the Jumu'ah prayer should be given in front of the Imam in a place where all the worshipers can hear the Azan when they stand. Looking at the number of worshipers, one can stand back and forth as required, so that all the worshipers can hear the call to prayer. According to a hadith, in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), the call to prayer was given at the door in front of the Imam. Based on which some people asked to give Sunny Azan outside the mosque. Their statement is not appropriate. This is because the scholars of hadith have said in the interpretation of this hadith that the purpose of this hadith is that the call to prayer should be given at a place near the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). And since the Nawabi was not very wide in the mosque and there was a door at the front along with the pulpit of the mosque, so when the Azan was to be called in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) he had to stand at the door.
