If one person collects from one family, the sacrifice will not be collected from everyone. If one fast is performed on behalf of one family, will it be realized on behalf of all? If one performs Hajj on behalf of one family, will Hajj be performed on behalf of all? If one person collects ribbons in charity, will all the charity pay ribbons? If one prays, everyone will be realized? If not, then how will everyone realize the sacrifice? Sacrifice like prayer, fasting, Hajj is also an act of worship. Which is required separately on each individual. If one collects, how will the other collect? This is an irrational and ridiculous thing. In the Qur'an, it has been narrated that: (Surah Najm-36) According to some hadiths, it is understood that the Companions used to offer sacrifices in the whole family in the first age. If it is necessary for two, then two will do. And if it is necessary on one, then one will. So in the early days of Islam there was poverty among the Companions. There was not so much prosperity. And since there was only one earner in the family, the sacrifice had to be made on the master of the house, and he used to make the sacrifice. And the whole family ate its meat. This means sacrificing the Companions on behalf of the whole family. This never meant that sacrifices were required on everyone in the family. But they did not sacrifice anyone, only one. This is not the case with the Companions. Moreover, some people present the evidence that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to sacrifice a goat on behalf of the entire Ummah. So one sacrifice will be on behalf of the whole family. That is also not true. Because one is to sacrifice as a duty. Another is to reach thawab. Sacrifice will be the same for a person performing duties as necessary. The rest will be able to do thawab in Isal for millions of people by sacrificing. There is no problem. For example, after the Prophet (peace be upon him) sacrificed himself. In its Isal, thawab has been done for all the Ummah. This does not prove that the obligatory sacrifice of the whole family can be done by one person. (Tuhfatul Almayi-4 / 436-438) 3767884971
