But if a living Haqqani Pir-Bujurg or a beloved servant of Allah is asked to pray to Allah that you may save me from danger and in this case the supplicant has the belief that he is the beloved and close servant of Allah. It is to be hoped that Allah will accept his supplication. Then there is no problem. Rather, it is proved by the hadith and the deeds of the Companions. - Fatawa Ulamail Baladil Haram In the Qur'an, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Your Lord has said, 'Call on Me, and I will answer your supplication.'” Elsewhere, Irshad said, "Say, I (Muhammad) have no authority to harm you or to do you any good." (Surah Jinn: 21) In another verse, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): If Allaah afflicts you with harm, there is no one who will remove it except Him, and if He wills good for you, there is no one who will reject His favor. He bestows His Grace on whom He wills of His servants. He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. - Surah Yunus: 108 Abdullah bin Abbas. He said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, addressed me and said, 'O son! If you want (anything), ask God. And if you ask for help, then ask God for help. Know that if all the people collectively want to benefit you, they will be able to benefit as much as Allah has written for you.
