What is the ruling on saying Assalamu Alaika Ya Rasoolullah before Azan? 1227612247

It is a bidat to recite darood or do any other dhikr before the call to prayer. Although Darood and Ziki are basically admirable and rewarding work. There is no problem in doing aqeedah just like that sometimes. But it is not legal to make it a habit. This is because it is not proved by any hadith or by any of the deeds of the Companions and the Salaf Salehin with the evidence of reciting the Darood before the Azan or reciting the Zikr or making any announcement. So making it a habit would be a clear innovation. So it is discarded. Azan is enough if you want to make people aware. Because the call to prayer is the announcement that the time for prayer has come. So there is no need to add anything new here. 8353464528
