And my ummah will be divided into 73 groups. All these teams will be without a hellish team. The Companions asked, "Who is that party?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Those who follow the way of me and my Companions. (Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith No. 2641; Al-Mu'jamul Kabir, Hadith No. 659; Al-Mu'jamul Awsat, Hadith No. 479; Kanzul Ummal Fi Sunanil Akwal Wal Afal, Hadith No. 1070 Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat is not the name of any party or organization. This is an ideal name. That ideal will be determined by the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Sunnah of the Companions. So those among whom the above two qualities can be found are the saved group Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat. In the light of this principle, you can decide which of the above mentioned groups belongs to Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat, that is, the saved group. Jamaat-e-Islam does not consider the Companions to be the standard of truth, so they do not belong to Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat as one. The Ahl al-Hadith do not consider the Sunnah of Khulafa Rashedin as evidence, that is why they do not accept the Sunnah of twenty rak'ats performed in the Baitullah Sharif including the Prophet in the mosque from the time of Hazrat Umar, the instruction issued from the time of Hazrat Umar is three divorces in one meeting. Since the Tabligh Jamaat considers the Sunnah of the Prophet as a document, it also considers the Sunnah of the Companions as a document. So they are going to be included in Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat. Again, Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat is not the name of any particular party. This is the name of the ideal. Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat are the followers of the Sunnah of the Prophet and the Sunnah of the Companions. It is not possible to become a follower of Ahl-e-Sunnat just by organizing the name of Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat by worshiping shrines and graves. In order to follow the Ahl as-Sunnah, one must adhere to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Sunnah of the Companions. Whatever the name, those among whom these two qualities are found will be included in the saved Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat. I want the party to be an Islamic political party or the Haqqani Pir-Mashayekh Jamaat, or the Ulema Mashayekh Jamaat.
