Can be taken subject to certain conditions. E.g.

1. Such a gift must be a work of virtue in proportion to their faith.
2. You have to be sure that you will not try to get the money back later.
3. You must not make sure that you do not try to establish your authority in the mosque after the payment.
4. Muslims should not have the mentality of mocking and insulting the mosque after the donation. It is permissible to take money donated by non-Muslims or waqfed property in the mosque or Eidgah under the mentioned conditions. وجملة الكلام في وصايا أهل الذمة أنها لا تخلو إما إن كان الموصى به أمرا, هو قربة عندنا وعندهم, أو كان أمرا هو قربة عندنا لا عندهم وأما إن كان أمرا هو قربة عندهم لا عندنا. فإن كان الموصى به شيئا هو قربة عندنا وعندهم بإن أوصى بثلث ماله أن يتصدق به على فقراء المسلمين أو على فقراء أهل الذمة, أو بعتق الرقاب, أو بعمارة المسجد الأقصى ونحو ذلك جاز في قولهم جميعا; لِأَنَّ هَذَا مِمَّا يَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَأَهْلُ الذِّمَّةِ.
