The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) belonged to the human community as his own being. He is the best man and the leader of the whole human race. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): Say: I am only a mortal like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is the only God. Therefore, whoever desires to meet his Lord, let him do righteous deeds and not associate anyone with the worship of his Lord. (Surat al-Kahf: 110) The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) himself said, I will be the leader of the children of Adam on the Day of Resurrection.-Saheeh Muslim Hadith: 227 The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was a perfect human being as an entity, and as a bearer of the light of guidance and prophethood, he was the perfect light for world humanity. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) became a light even though he was a human being. And there is no contradiction between the two. There is clear evidence of this in the Qur'an and Hadith. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O Prophet! I have sent you as a caller to Allaah by His command and as a shining lamp.” (Surat al-Ahzab: 46) And regarding the creation of human beings, it has been mentioned in the Qur'an that Allah created Adam from dust. Then He made each of His descendants from a drop of water. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was created as a child of Adam. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): He it is Who created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm. Then by clotted blood. Then He brings you out as a child. Then enter your youth. Then reach old age. - Surah Mumin: 6 The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) himself gave a clear account of the matter. Hazrat Wasila Ibn Aska. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, 'Surely Allah has chosen Qinana from the descendants of Ishmael.' He then nominated the Quraish from the descendants of Qinana and the Bani Hashim from the descendants of the Quraish. And he has chosen me from Bani Hashim.-Sahih Muslim Hadith: 228 Abu Jafar rest rah. Narrated from, he said, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, I was born through marriage. From Adam (my lineage has passed through marriage at every level up to my parents.) No illegitimate method of ignorance has touched me. I was born in the only holy way.-Tabaqat Ibn Sa'd 1/26; Musannaf Abdur Razzaq 6/303 So in the light of the Qur'anic commentary and the narration of the Hadith, it is proved that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is a human being and the best human being. He is the best man of all creation and the leader of the prophets. 8237832179
