The virtue of Shabe-Barat is proved by the hadith "Hasan". But in order to observe any religious matter, it must be in the manner prescribed by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his Companions. It is an act of bid'at, misguidance and sin to act on a religious subject in a fabricated and baseless manner. Praying, reciting, dhikr, supplication and fasting during Shabe-Barat and fasting during the day are proven by Hadith. Therefore, it is important to limit our practice to the tasks of Shabe-Barat. The distribution of Shabe-Barat pudding, bread or khichuri is not proven. So it would be a sin to think that these deeds are the deeds of Shabe-Barat and the deeds of Thawab. Similarly, lighting is a religious symbol of fire worshipers. So it is not permissible for Muslims to observe it. And fireworks are the sum of many sins. Such as- (a) Waste (b) Panic (c) Loss of life and property of people (d) Deprivation of worship on the night of blessing itself (e) Obstruction of worship of others etc. Each of these is haraam and sinful.
