The word Ahl al-Bayt is Arabic. Ahl is called, possessor, family, resident etc. And the house is called Bait. So Ahl al-Bayt means the inhabitants of the house. Relatives of the house etc. The main purpose of Ahl al-Bayt is to be a wife. Then childish. The main purpose of saying Ahl al-Bayt is that the wife proves it in three ways. Namely- 1. By literal meaning, II. By verses of the Quran, 3. By social norms. The word Ahl al-Bayt literally comes from the Arabic word يبيت. Which means staying up at night. Who stays with men at night? Children or wife? Surely the wife. Because when the child grows up, he lives in a separate room. The only wife who lives at night with her husband. If someone says Ahl al-Bayt as her, the first purpose is the wife of that person. Not children. However, later on, the child also belongs to the Ahl al-Bayt, because the child also lives in the person's house. But the first meaning is the wife. Ahl al-Bayt in the language of the Qur'an The word Ahl al-Bayt appears twice in the Holy Qur'an. It is first mentioned in the discussion of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) in the 11th Surah Hud of the Holy Qur'an. Commentary on the Qur'an ولقد جاءت رسلنا إبراهيم بالبشرى قالوا سلاما قال سلام فما لبث أن جاء بعجل حنيذ ۞ فلما رأى أيديهم لا تصل إليه نكرهم وأوجس منهم خيفة قالوا لا تخف إنا أرسلنا إلى قوم لوط ۞ وامرأته قائمة فضحكت فبشرناها بإسحاق ومن وراء إسحاق يعقوب ۞ قالت يا ويلتى أألد وأنا It is strange that this is a miracle. And certainly Our messengers came to Ibrahim with glad tidings. They said, "Peace." He said, "Peace." Soon he brought a roasted calf, but when he saw that their hands were not reaching for food, he became suspicious and began to fear them in his mind. They said, "Do not be afraid." We were sent to the people of Lot. His wife was also standing nearby, he laughed. Then We gave him glad tidings of the birth of Isaac and of Jacob after Isaac. He said - what a misfortune! Will I give birth? But I have reached the end of old age and my husband is also old, so heavy is the surprise. They said: Do you wonder about Allah's command? O people of Ahl al-Bayt, may Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you. Surely Allah is Praiseworthy, Glorious. (Surah Hud: 69-73) In the above verse, the angels have comforted Hazrat Sarah, the wife of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) by calling her Ahl al-Bayt. So what happened? In the language of Allah's Qur'an, the Ahl al-Bayt are basically wives. Then in the 33rd Surah Al-Ahzab of the Qur'an, the wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him) are again addressed as Ahl al-Bayt. See يا نساء النبي لستن كأحد من النساء إن اتقيتن فلا تخضعن بالقول فيطمع الذي في قلبه مرض وقلن قولا معروفا ۞ وقرن في بيوتكن ولا تبرجن تبرج الجاهلية الأولى وأقمن الصلاة وآتين الزكاة وأطعن الله ورسوله إنما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت ويطهركم تطهيرا • O Wives of the Prophet! You are not like other women; If you fear God, then do not speak to strangers in a gentle and attractive manner, lest he who has a disease in his heart desire to speak. You will stay indoors - do not show yourself like the age of ignorance. Establish the prayer, pay the obligatory charity, and obey God and His Messenger. O members of the Ahl al-Bayt, that is, the family of the Prophet. God only wants to remove impurity from you and to keep you completely pure. (Surat al-Ahzab: 32,33) The word Ahl al-Bayt appears only in these two places in the Qur'an. In both places Allah has taken wives as the holy Ahl al-Bayt. Not children. However, the children also entered the Ahl al-Bayt in the second half. Not at first. First of all, by saying Ahl al-Bayt, the wife is the object. In the social sense, Ahl al-Bayt translates our Ahl al-Bayt into simple Bengali. What we call in common parlance, housewife. When we ask each other, how is your housewife? Then the purpose is basically the wife. Then offspring. Isn't that so? Who will understand the Prophet's Ahl al-Bayt? Ahl al-Bayt means the inhabitants of the house. With whom to stay the night. So when the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Its honorable wives. Then the children in stages. That's normal. Since the Prophet in the Qur'an. His wives are called Ahl al-Bayt. The Prophet. The wives of the Prophet. Its Ahl al-Bayt has informed this. But the Ahl al-Bayt did not say child satisfaction. Then one may have the idea that the children of the Prophet (peace be upon him) do not belong to the Ahl al-Bayt. For this reason, when Karima is revealed in that verse, the Prophet. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 2424) Sahih Muslim, said the following words to describe eseche قالت عائشة: خرج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم غداة وعليه مرط مرحل, من شعر أسود, فجاء الحسن بن علي فأدخله, ثم جاء الحسين فدخل معه, ثم جاءت فاطمة فأدخلها, ثم جاء علي فأدخله, ثم قال إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ َْهْل الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَتْهِيرًا So what is understood? The Prophet. The Ahl al-Bayt included the Prophet. Its wives are proved by the Holy Quran. And the Prophet. The children and Hazrat Ali. Ahl al-Bayt included the proven Prophet. By its hadith. This is why the aqeedah of Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaat, the Prophet. Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet. The honor of the wives and the Prophet. His children Fatima, Hazrat Hasan, Hazrat Hussain and Hazrat Ali. Etc. We have the Prophet. Everyone in its house is Ahl al-Bayt. But Shiites say that the Prophet. The Ahl al-Bayt include only the Prophet. Its children and Hazrat Ali. They are denying the verses of the Holy Quran by holding this aqeedah. And there can be no Muslim who denies any provision of the Qur'an. We consider the Qur'an as such a document.
