Many of Zakir Naik's aqeedahs and practices do not support Haqqani ulama 'because the Qur'an contradicts the main point of the hadith. So he did not become a disbeliever. We call him a misguided ideologue. But anything said by a disbeliever will not be permissible. He must be a Muslim. The rest are believers in erroneous beliefs and erroneous times. Then it is up to the Mufti and the judge to act on not being a disbeliever. Because it is worse for a Muslim to be destroyed by mistake than to be saved by a thousand infidels. (Sharhu Fiqhul Akbar-1999) On the authority of Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: A man is not a man of immorality, nor is he afraid of disbelief unless he rebels against it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: If one of you calls someone a transgressor or a disbeliever but the person is not, then he will return to the one who said it.
