Haqqani Pir, a follower of Sunnah and Shariah, is a guide. No pir is a guide. Not even a prophet possessed guidance. Allah is the only guide. In this regard, it is clearly stated in the Qur'an, (translation) (O Prophet!) You cannot guide whom you like to the right path. But Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path. He knows best who will follow the right path. (Surat al-Qasas: 56) Therefore, no creature has the power to give guidance to anyone. Creatures can only show the way.
