Since khutbah is a form of worship like prayer and khutbah is namaz-kalam even amr bil maroof, nahi anil munkar (command of good deeds and prohibition of evil deeds) is also forbidden and by this the virtue of Jum'ah is nullified. Due to this saheeh hadeeth, if you hear the name of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) Mubarak in the khutbah, you will recite the darood, but you will not recite it orally. The love of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) must be expressed after reciting the darood. But it is not like one's own death.
